Pattern exploring!
Long time no post! Here’s a pattern I just made in three different color schemes. Patterns are so challenging… but so rewarding when you figure out how to repeat it nicely!
This is my first try at one! Enjoy~

Identity + Self Promotional booklet
Pretty much the hardest project that I’ve had to work on. Still isn’t sure if this is the best solution yet but it will have to do for now!

This is the last project, which is a local restaurant branding project, that I’ve done for the semester. I like it but I feel like it needs more. What do you think??
Oh Lannnnd!
Oh Land has been my latest obsession lately, in terms of music. I knew I wanted design something for them (her?) for fun and I thought I would get it out of my system before I get tired of them. These are inspired by my favorite track on the album, Rainbow. The type is definitely inspired by the album cover and ,of course, her elegant and beautiful voice.

Ligature XX
Just taking a little break to do a quick post on the highlight of Ligature weekend. In one of the workshops with Jessica Walsh, we were given a time limit to build a given letter out of a given material. My group had to make “arts” out of Styrofoam cups and I was in charge of S!

Internship update....
The past 2 weeks of school have been super busy and I am finally glad that it’s finally over. Besides having to wake up early and not having my fridays off, my internship actually gives me a nice change of pace. While I seem to spent way too much time on every little details of my projects in school, I work on quick projects at work even though they are not always be the most exciting thing...

Foundation Internship Update!
My work load and the type of work I do at the Foundation seems to be pretty consistent. I often work on invitation while Ryan mostly work on the important stuff - multi million dollar proposal! Pretty little flower
For a class project, I will being making TONS of fabric flowers. I started making one to test the fabric that I will using and it came out great! I even asked Ryan to model it for me. :P
In class exercise

Foundation Internship Update!
I love the feeling of having something that you designed printed! Printing is a large art of school project because it takes soooo long to print and put things together. All over Tokyo, there are these beautiful underground fire hydrants and they are adorable and often painted with vibrant colors. This is the most common design I’ve seen. The second was in Matsumoto.

Japan: Day 3
On day three, we went to the Tsukiji fish market and visited the Design Festa Gallery, where we will have a final show at the end of the program, at the famous Harajuku! The place was packed and full of Japanese teenagers in uniforms. The two stops were totally different and interesting in their own ways (although some people felt sick after seeing the numbers of dead fish at the market).

Cannon Festival @ Asakusa
We were lucky enough to arrive just on time for the Cannon Festival. It’s one of the biggest annual festival in Japan! There so many food, people, and things that I’ve never seen before.
Japan: Day 2
Japan has been amazing so far and we’ve been going out and discovering new things everyday. I’ve still been a little jetlagged, and that entails waking up at around six every morning and passing out at around nine or ten every night. Website is finally done(ish)!
I am so excited, after toying around with it for months, I finally feel like my website is coming together and is somewhat presentable. There are probably tons of typos and little things that I need to fix along the way but I am so glad because it has came a long way! Tell me what you think and I need your critique!
